Expert, force-free handling

I'm your hiking guide, Kaeli Grotz, KPA CTP. I'm a certified humane dog trainer and I'm skilled at managing reactive and shy dogs.

I use positive reinforcement and low-stress handling to give your dog a safe and fun trail experience. This includes using a long-line leash until I'm comfortable with your dog’s recall.

While I reinforce existing skills, this is not a walk-and-train service – explore our training services to build new skills.

We are insured with Profur and trained in pet first-aid through Walks N Wags.

We are happy to manage:

  • less-than-perfect recall

  • reactivity to people, bikes, etc.

  • food allergies

  • dogs who are selective about their dog friends

We can't accommodate:

  • puppies under 6 months

  • vehicle-related distress

  • e-collars, prong or choke collars, or any other aversive equipment

  • dogs with a bite history who are not muzzle trained
